Week 2 - Francisco
This week we discussed between us which engine we would be using to create our game. We are split between RPG Maker, due to our game following the formula RPG Maker is known to have, and Unity, for it's accessibility. We are not completely set yet, but after some consideration and conversations with other developers we might be leaning towards Unity.
We started shaping up our design document by analyzing the 2 main games we took as inspiration (Darkest Dungeon, Pokémon) to try to pin down they strengths and weakness so that we can take both of these and still create a game that is unique. We also started to define some personas so that we have a good idea of our focus group audience
It's also been a busy week for me due to other projects, but hopefully we'll have more exciting news on the following weeks! Stay tuned!
